Excuses performance when something genuinely uncontrollable happens

A clause suspending or excusing obligations when defined events outside a party's control prevent performance. Only what the clause actually lists counts, so a generic list drafted years ago may not reach the event in front of you. Payment obligations are commonly carved out and remain due regardless.
